Encodes Incoming 3G SDI HD-SDI, HDMI, VGA, or SD Analog (YPbPr or CVBS) Video and Audio into One H.264 Compressed IP Transport Stream with Various Resolutions and “Wrappers”. Audio Output is AAC-LC. Converts Computer Output to H.264 Stream. Real time, highly reliable, 1 RU, quick starting, standards compliant, embedded Linux® based, remotely manageable, single channel SD or HD (SDI), H.264/AVC or Optional H.265 TS Encoder. Incorporates a "minimal" Linux® kernel (residing on an SSD) yielding a highly reliable encoder manageable from anywhere via web GUI.

Supports most industry standard “protocols” like UDP or RTP with unicast or multicast, and “Wrappers” such as HLS, RTMP, etc. Audio output is AAC, MPEG-1 Layer II, optional MP3, and/or optional “SurCode for Dolby Digital” AC-3. Supports closed captioning and teletext with overlay.

The MAKITO is ideally suited for today’s challenges and for those that can be foreseen well into the future. The MAKITO is based on the highly efficient H.264 compression standard saving over 50% of the bandwidth and disk space required by video-over-IP deployments. In addition, the MAKITO is equally proficient at standard definition (composite and s-video) as it is at all high definition resolutions and frame rates up to 1080p60. To accomplish this in a small form factor the MAKITO auto-detects the input of its single BNC connector and supports composite, SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI (the new standard for 1080p60). Today, the MAKITO can comfortably address video-over-IP encoding anywhere on a resolution / bandwidth scale from CIF at less than 256 kbps to Full HD at 15 Mbps.
